Keene Municipal Seats to be Filled
Four current city councilors have indicated they are not seeking reelection. Open seats are in Ward 4 and three are at-large seats. Ward councilors are 4-year terms and at-large councilors serve two-
year terms.
The filing deadline is September 5th at 4 pm. Candidates can file through a petition filing with 50 signatures of eligible Keene voters by September 8th. I did a late petition filing in 2015 and I won with the largest at-large candidate vote. So, when you file doesn’t matter, but it is much easier to meet the September 5th filing deadline and it helps everyone to know there is adequate candidate interest.

Thank you to many who have contributed to Kahn for Mayor. This campaign is a true cash on hand operation. Contributions are helping me reach more voters. We've distributed nearly 200 lawn signs. Canvassing data and door hangers have been purchased and canvasses will begin in mid-September. House parties are being scheduled. Our goal is to get people engaged in this fall’s municipal elections. We need a well-qualified Mayor and Council and an engaged citizenry holding us accountable.

Lawn Signs & Volunteering
We have less than 10 signs left. However, we will place an order for more. Use the link below to request a sign. Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in lawn signs, collectively they are making a positive impression. I’ve received comments that "this is a well-organized campaign" and that our signs are "popping up like mushrooms," which as wet as it’s been, that’s a lot of mushrooms and signs.
Canvassing Volunteers
We will begin canvassing Keene neighborhoods and distributing door hangers soon. If you or someone you know are interested in helping let us know. If you’ve indicated your interest previously, expect a phone call from JoAnn Fenton, Jennifer Friedman or me in the near future.
House Parties
House parties are beginning to get scheduled for September and October. If you wish to host a party during a week night, please let us know. Each one of these is an opportunity to get voters more engaged in municipal elections. We will help with arrangements.
