Friends & Community Members,

Thank you for joining me for my announcement last Monday. Now that my candidacy is public, I am happy to be able to share my campaign logo and campaign updates.

Filing for Keene offices on the November 7th ballot began Wednesday August 16. I made it official around 9 am on Wednesday, having dropped my application for Mayor at the City Clerk’s office.

Filing for other offices, including City Councilors must occur by September 5 at 4 pm.  There are a few at-large 2-year term seats opening up, and other openings across Keene's Wards.

Announcement Goes Statewide
In addition to the great Keene Sentinel coverage,"Jay Kahn, former state senator, to run for mayor of Keene" appeared in In-depth New Hampshire, on NH Public Radio and WKNE AM.

Former Mayor of Keene, Kendall Lane’s quote got the greatest attention when he said; "I am thrilled that Jay has decided to enter the race for Mayor. He demonstrated his commitment to the community during his service as our State Senator and he will make an excellent Mayor.  We will be proud to have him represent us."
